Mein Auto: Yes
Drove from Lynchburg, VA to Arlington, VA. Some twisty mountain roads, mostly fast cruising on congested I-81 between 70-85 mph. Whole trip average speed = 68 mph, MPG = 26.4, 3.5 hrs drive time. A/C on low, Normal suspension/engine settings except for a brief bit of Sport 1. We're pleased so far, willing to sacrifice a little mpg for arriving sane and mobile.

When I picked my vehicle up in SC after the ED, back to NH I got slightly over 30mpg. My more normal, mostly city driving is netting me around 22mpg. Got a couple thousand mile trip coming up in October - the first long trip since I picked it up and hope to see similar numbers. It's now got a few thousand miles more on it than the original trip from SC, so it will be interesting to see if it differs. The x-drive EPA is 27-28mpg on the highway, so 30 was unexpected on the 70- 75 mph run. In Germany, from new, for the first 700 miles or so, some at 100mph on the autobahn, I averaged a little over 24mpg. I think this is pretty impressive for this heavy vehicle.

In my 535 I range between 19 and 22 city depending on starts/stops... idling is expensive. Highway 28 mpg. In a straight line at 40 mph I get about 38 mpg, so speed kills mpg. Revs above 4k eat gasoline, but it sure sounds nice. I'm past 5000 miles and age has made no difference in mpg.
