ISO X3 Pricing

I have read these forums and reading people are buying new 2012 X3's for around $700 over invoice and around $4000 off MSRP. The dealers in Seattle offer 2-3% off MSRP on a new custom fully loaded one. That is it!
Could someone tell me what dealers are giving the prices I see being stated in these forums?

Thanks for any help, I hope to be driving a 2012 fully loaded bigger engine X3 soon.

I also would like to know what is a realistic expectation. I may have a group buy of 2 with PCD and need some sort of starting point. Knowing it is a new model and in demand, realize that huge discounts are not likely but what is realistic. Thanks!

Find the largest dealers in your area with the biggest allocation. E-mail the Internet Managers, give'em the exact specs of the car you want, down to the color and trim - look up the invoice pricing on Edmunds with the options you want. Offer $500 over that, plus the MACO and training. Tell them you also want the buy rate on financing.

Do not step foot in the dealership until you have a basic agreement on price.

+1 good advice! However, I would certainly take a new X3 in roughly the same configuration you are considering on a long test drive. You do not want to buy this thing and have it "not fit" in some way, bad seats, seatbelts just don't feel right, rough ride on nasty roads, etc., and most importantly THE WIFE DOESN'T LIKE IT! By all means go to a dealership and take a test drive before you plunk down $50 large for a new X3!

I talked to 3 dealers before I got a price I was comfortable with paying. I ended up paying $1000 over invoice or $3,200 off MSRP for a 2012 35i. I ended up using the ZAG program through USAA.

Y'all might want to edit that. I think that you meant $1000 over Invoice, not over MSRP.
