M5 Spare tire
Does anyone know if wheels from a 96-03 528 will fit on an 2003 E39 M5? I'm looking to get a spare for my M5 (since they don't come with one)

The 'official' BMW wheels specified as winter wheels setup for the E39 M5 are the Style 66 ones. Any other 17 inch or 16 inch wheels from the OEM BMW range won't fit due to the size of the brakes. From a 528? I doubt it.
Alternatively, any 18 inch or bigger wheel will of course clear the brakes. Just check all sizing, offsets etc before you buy. Cheers, Dennis! |

Sizzler - I just posted an ad in Chicago Craigslist for (2) style 66 BMW wheels.
I PMd you with more info, but here is the CL ad link. http://chicago.craigslist.org/sox/pts/2236919564.html |

Check Bimmerzone.com for a donut spare tire setup. You'll have more trunk space left.
