HUD is awesome. This is my third 5er with it. I have Dark Graphite and I wish that I would gotten something else , The color is like a dull or dirty black.

I'v had mine for 16 months now, 30 000 kilometer and the first service next week! I regret that I ordered it with the night vision camera! I never use it! And it cost 4000,- USD! Wish I'd got the surround view instead....
I like the black/alu interior and the blackSafire metallic paint |

Have the black sapphire, and love it, but will seriously consider jet black next time - prefer jet black in direct light. Have dakota leather, and it's great. Have dynamic handling, and is nice to have, but not have to have. Have the cold weather package and enjoy it. Have PP2, and like all but rear shades - never use them. Premium hi-fi does not inspire. Have sport package and love it - but RFTs have been a pain. Have comfort access and love it. Have 4-zone climate control and kids love it. Have the anthracite headliner and goes great with black! 15,000 miles on my F10 and love it!

I have the ventilated seats and live in a VERY hot area. They're ok, not great. If your car has been baking in the sun for hours, when you turn them on the seats actually heat up as the pull hot air into them. It's best to set the AC to have some cold air sent to the floor and wait a few minutes. Then they're great.
The active part of the seat initially seemed worse than useless. It's like someone punching your rear at random times and places... quite irritating. But on long drives when I get sleepy, they really help keep me awake! Would I buy the ventilated seats again? I'm not sure yet. It often gets to 110 or hotter here, but this summer was much cooler than usual, so I'm waiting for next summer to re-evaluate.

When I found the price I had being offered took a huge drop before I placed the order, I did consider to go for the 550i, but gas mileage was the show stopper as my driving 95% of the time is local. When my car was being built, the price went down again. I talked to my CA and he is willing to let me cancel the order and update to 550i. I end up took the latest price as I do not want to wait for another 2 month ( old car dead also ). If I knew 535i has the lag issue( does not have it when I did test drive, twice ), I would have made my mind back then to re-book my order to 550i...it will be with the stage 2 by now..

Another vote for the top/side view cameras. They are invaluable for parking.

I don't regret not getting the M-sport package. I'm pretty happy with my ride as-is, but it's almost fully loaded.
For the sake of feedback, in hindsight I would probably have picked Imperial Blue over Dark Graphite II but it's a mild preference. And I should have ordered comfort access. I haven't used BMW apps yet because I can't be bothered to plug in my iPhone to enable the features.

![]() I took 3 average weight friends with 3 light golf bags on Sunday to enjoy a great golf game, but my 535 quit on me......it just won't go or provide any "wow" power even under sports mode.....another " what if " just went through my head "550 + stage 2". hahaha....money is not the factor as it is not that expensive anyway, but a good man listen to his wife's "advise"...."you don't need V8 for your daily drive and it takes too much gas". Maybe the 8 speed is too smooth to provide any "normal" feeling about the speed? who knows.....maybe it's fast enough I will probably need the 535 Dinan upgrade to finally put this behind me...haha

NAVIGATION and more so the LARGE SCREEN that came with it. I've seen a photo of the small non-nav screen and it looked weird... a bit out of place, silly. Maybe 'cheap' is the word.
The large screen is awesome, fits the designed space well. I happen to drive a lot in unknown areas so navigation is perfect for me, but I understand others could care less... Still, the SIZE of the screen is what I am happy with (and to think I would have never gotten that option had I not been forced into the Nav upgrade due to Japanese parts shortage... whatta luck!). The showroom model had a nav screen and I would have been hugely disappointed to receive a small screen upon delivery. COMFORT ACCESS is awesome. I never take the key out of my pocket. This feature rocks! Just a bit slow locking the doors when you exit the car. Otherwise, I don't share the skepticism of others who are having a hard time with it. It didn't work on me once, right after car wash... . . |
