Sunroof shade repair DIY

I like many others came across this issue. Many DIY involve removing the glass that can cause more problems in the future. There is another way of doing this that is much easier without removing the glass. The shade slider has 2 very flexible rubber pieces at the front of it which is used to push it back when the actual glass moves if you just slowy open it and pass these two rubber pieces under it you can open the glass fully and work only with the shade slider. There are 2 perks i noticed when i did this:
1. you dont have to worry about placing the glass back on correctly and no need to recalibrate it in some cases
2. you can remove the entire slider and still close close your sunroof normally, so like for me, i could still drive around with no worries while i waited for the parts to come in!

pics of what you mean, because from all the DIY, the reason why you have to take the glass off is because the driver (the part that actually moves the shade with the sunroof) is towards the rear and it should be in front of the rear clip in order to move the shade. opening the sunroof would mean the driver is pushing the shade along with it. if you are able to slide the shade's front clips off and the sunroof opens without the shade, then the driver is probably in back of the sunshade clip which it shouldn't be and which is one of the problems folks have with the shade not working properly...so, a few photos of what you mean would be of use.
