Clubman lower C-pillars now available in Body Color

I just noticed that option 321, body color lower c-pillars, is now availble for a few colors.


White, BRG II, Laser Blue (Cooper S) and Eclipse Grey.

I've long thought the blue or silver c-pillars just looked wrong with some of the colors. A small change, but it does make the car look a little better.

White and BRG2 look better with the body color c-pillars. Eclipse probably looks very different in person.
The Pepper White was better after a few trim changes, but I'm too lazy to redo the screen capture.

looks good since I am considering a Clubman S for my next vehicle! Any idea when they are going to change to the new model?

The R56 Hatch came out in 2006 and the Clubman in 2007. I'm guessing the hatch is due out in late 2012 or early 2013. The Clubman will be here in 2013 or early 2014.

We've seen spy shots of the F56 Hatch. Firm rumours are that BMW will unveil the F56 Hatch at MINI United in the late summer of 2012.


I've heard less about the Clubman and haven't seen credible spy shots. That is consistent with the new Clubman being about a year behind the hatch.


In Europe the new BMW 116i is serious competition to the current Clubman. They are about the same price, but the F20 1 series is a better car.
