PCD question: please help

Hi all. New to the forums. Ordered a x5m. Requested through CA for PCD. Have not heard back from BMW yet. My car is done production and is on " finishing touch" stage. Is it too late now? Even though I want to do PCD, I would like the car shipped to the dealer. thanks in advance.

Contact your CA immediately. You need to make the arrangements before your car gets picked up by transport. Since the Factory and PCD are collocated, I'm not sure what the rules are for changing your mind.

We did ED then PCD following. We were told we could change our mind up until the car left the port of Brunswick, GA, by transport to be delivered to the Performance Center.

If the vehicle has already been released to a carrier, it's too late. The vehicle would need to ship to our facility and not the dealer in order to do PCD. If the vehicle ships to the dealer, PCD is not an option.

As "Wine-O" stated, anyone that elects to do PCD can change their mind and cancel anytime before the vehicle released and ships to us. If the vehicle ships to us, you would have to then pay to have the vehicle transported again to the selling dealer.

Thanks guys for the reply. Talked to my CA this morning. He said they sent in a request again on Saturday. Said he has not heard back from BMW yet. Just worried that my window of opportunity will close pretty soon....

I am confused about something else he said: he said something about trying to schedule me for the M school...He said I should not worry even if the vehicle ships to the dealer...Is that different from the PCD? Sorry to sound soo noobish.....

Am I correct in assuming that the vehicle is not transported to you until dates are offered to me by BMW and I then confirm a date to them?

The driving schools are completely seperate from the delivery program and are scheduled and booked through a seperate call center. We do incorporate a driving rotation that gives a taste of what the schools offer, but it is more designed to demonstrate some of the capabilities of the BMW you purchased.

That is correct as long as we have received the reservation before the vehicle was released to ship. Once we get the reservation, they'll change it to ship to us and place a hold on it until we get a confirmed delivery date.

Thanks Jonathan. When I talked to my CA he said that since the car was being delivered to the dealer it made more sense to him that he could try and get me in the M school rather than the PCD. Anyways waiting for a reply from BMW..

Is there some way of knowing if the vehicle left the plant for delivery? When I try to track the status on the BMW website, after the "finishing touches" stage it goes directly to "at your dealer". Is there any way of knowing when it will get shipped from SC? Thanks...

Thanks, Jonathan. CA tells me that BMW should be giving me a date with 24 hours or so. See you soon !!!
