No alcohol on Sundays

I recently picked up my 335d on a Monday. Drove with a friend to South Carolina the Sunday evening before the pick-up and was looking forward to a nice dinner with a glass of wine/beer/whatever after a long drive. Come to find out SC has some funny rules about when and where you can buy alcohol.

We checked in at the hotel and sat down for our special BMW dinner only to discover the hotel cannot serve alcohol on Sundays. The waiter was very nice and said this is a common complaint and agrees that BMW ought to mention this somewhere in their information packet. Anyway, we drove 10 miles out of the city limit to find a grocery store and bought a bottle of wine. Brought it back to the hotel and they happily let us drink it in the restaurant. They just cant sell it.

If we would have known this ahead of time we would have packed something in the car.

Just a nuisance. Anyway, there's your FYI. If you are traveling on Sunday and want to enjoy a libation with your special dinner, its BYOB.

I had PCD on Monday, 25 July and reported this. I had my own wine, though.
