89 735i - Help..locked out!!

Hello everyone..im a new owner of a 89' 735i...i have a dead battery and cannot access no matter what i try...i have the key obviously and have attempted lifting the handle and turning key to no avail...i was told i could try to get power to the starter witch would power the car enough to unlock it ...so my question is..will this work and due to my unfamiliarity to the car im not sure if i can access the starter from underneath the car...where is the starter located??

Don't panic! The E32 should have an emergency unlock in place in both doors, it's just a little tricky to "activate". HERE is a link to an explanation of how to activate the emergency un lock feature.
