Thanks PCD and question
Thanks to everyone at the PCD for an amazing 10/14 delivery experience for our 2011 M3 ZCP. My wife and I interacted mostly with Ray, who was an excellent instructor and really helpful when we took delivery (even though it was a ED redelivery). Moreover, we forgot a bag and the Greenville Marriott really stepped up and FedEx'd it to us. Amazing indeed.
I can't say enough about how truly valuable and memorable a PCD pickup is. You just have to experience it. Now, accolades aside, I do have a question. It turns out that my 1200 mile service was performed at the PC. Awesome...that saves me some time. But, is there anyway I can get a record of the service that details what fluids were changed? I know it says the service was performed on my computer and in my service records book, but I would like to just make sure that the service included the diff fluid, transmission fluid, and the oil service... Thanks again! |

Update: My dealer is going to redo the 1200 mile service because there are no records of the service being done in the computer. Seems like a waste of good fluids, but without the service being entered by the technicians at the PC, it would not show up as being performed.

I wondered this as well.
My 1200 mile service will be done at VPC in a few days. I am particularly concerned because there is a very recent service bulletin for 1M regarding correct tranny (diff?) fluid. I was wondering if we get paperwork to show waht fluids were used. And whom to contact PRIOR to make sure they use the right fluids?? ![]() Anyone? |

I checked and they do have record of the 1200 mile service being done on your vehicle. Not sure if it takes a while before their system updates with the warranty system . However if you dealer is willing to do it again, it won't hurt anything. For clarification to all, below is the current documented fluids that should be changed at the 1200 mile service. Hope this helps ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- X5M and X6M DON’T get a 1,200 mile service. SIB 00 07 09 M3 gets the engine oil, filter, 6 speed transmission fluid & differential fluid changed. If the M3 comes with the DCT transmission, the trans oil DOESN’T get changed. SIB 00 01 07 1M gets the engine oil, filter & differential changed. The transmission fluid DOESN’T gets changed at 1,200 miles. It will get changed when the service counter reaches 3 and 6; that would be at the 3rd and 6th oil change. SIB 00 01 10.

Thanks for the info. Yes, it can't hurt to get another set of fluids! I can't wait to do another PCD...
