Retrofit M-Drive (M-Button)??

Hey guys, does anyone know if it is possible to retrofit the new standard M-Drive on to an M3 without it? I have a 2011 e92 and I understand that all 2011.5+ M3s have standard M-drive. I talked to my CA about this the other day and he said that he does know of one person who has successfully retrofitted it, and it involved a flash and replacing the steering wheel. My questions are:

a) Can anyone confirm if this is possible

and

b) Would M-Drive be worth the hassle?
