E82 / E88 1 Series (2008 - 2013)
BMWs throw back to the iconic 2002, with a renewed form and function. The smallest car in BMW's line up but still packs a punch. Available in coupe or convertible, powered by either an inline 6 in the 128 or the twin turbo rocket sled 135. |

Of course it rained!
I scheduled a detailer a month ago to have a thorough detailing done on my 135i...a month ago the earliest date they could schedule me in was today. It's one of those mobile detailing firms that comes to your car. So, of course, after more than a week of gorgeous weather it's raining today and the next available date they have is November 10th. I'm almost afraid to think of what type of weather could occur then. I'm sure that when it does finally get done it will have been worth the wait.

Well if it does not happen that day--been there, had it happen and have the T-Shirt to prove it, LOL--it will happen on the very NEXT day. But, if you get it detailed, and have a good wax job done, consider then getting some good waterless products, and real good microfiber clothes. If it rains and you bring it in, wet, and yes a bit sloppy from the streets, spraying it down good, let the spray sit for minute or two, and with a careful wipedown with 2-3 MF's you can get the car dry and clean with no real abuse. Personally I use Griots Spray on Wash and love it..but there are others. Key is do it when wet. I also have placed several layers of spray on wax on TOP of the base waxes done in detailing..and these act as sacrifice barriers to absorb the wiping process after rains or even snows. It works...and then when that happens I spend maybe 10 minutes later putting on another sacrifice spray wax barrier...works like a charm and the car stays clean, shiney ;thus repelling more dirty water] without a lot of fall/winter build up. I do have a garage..and that helps to get it in and do it inside...but the dirt is the same. Good luck with the appointment...
