starting

hi there
the other day i was unable to start my 2004 m3.you're supposed to push the brakepedal
and put the gear into neutral and then start.
now it won't shift into neutral anymore so i can't start the car.
it does shift into drive and reverse..

anyone have an idea what to do?
we tried crankinkig the car up a bit but that didn't work..

SMG or Manual?

If SMG you need to turn the key two clicks and press the brake pedal to get it to go into Neutral. If it doesn't go into Neutral you have some issue with the SMG system.
