Keyfob Initialization DIY

Initializing Key
This applies for all BMW's

1. Get in the car and close all the doors.
2. For key : Insert the key into ignition and turn to pos 1.
- For fob: insert fob in to slot and press start button without pressing the breake
3. Remove the key / fob and press the UNLOCK button.
4. While holding the button, press the LOCK button 3 times in succession within 10 seconds.
5. Release both buttons.

The locks will lock and unlock themselves signaling that you have successfully initialized the key.

If the locks did not activate, the key didn't initialize and you need to start over from the beginning.
