Where is my power window relay located??

I have a 1982 528e, ecerything was working fine. Started installing a CD player today and now the power windows don't work. Checked the fuse, where is the relay located?

Check in the under dash panel where your right knee is. There is a "circuit breaker" there just for the power windows.

Thanks Jimmy, that may be it. I was removing a CD player and I pulled out the center of the dash, not all the way but I was horsing it a bit. Plus I have the lower section off under the steering wheel to replace the brake switch. I unhooked a vacuum line to a module on the left and the 2 wires to the push button switch on the lower left.
The windows worked fine until I did these things.

That module on the left side is the interior temperature sensor that controls the AC and heating. The vacuum comes from the engine and is used to pull cabin air through the sensor. If you had the lower panel off, then the windows wouldn't work because you have to remove the two wires. Make sure you keep them plugged in always! (I've managed to leave them off and had to remove the cover again!)

That was it Jimmy, hooked them back up and they work fine.
I've been building Chevy's for years but this BMW is a little different for me.

Thumbs up Thanks for your help!!!

This car has been in our family for 21 yrs. i was going to replace the heater core but that was a silly idea!!! i removed the cover under the steeringwheel. than my power windows stopped working!!! after reading this post i went outside, plugged the wires back in and it worked!!!! thanks for your help!!
