cant upload pics

hey my fellow bmw owners... i am having trouble uploading pictures.. this is how i did it
first i went to my profile and clicked on my photos clicked on the browse button to find the pic i wanted to post found it and clicked on it then i clicked upload then a message says not a valid image.. i am i doing something wrong.. the pics are on my iphone which is plugged into the computer and thats where i am getting them from can some one help please.. i want to post my pics of my car
