Actually the wheels dont look bad at all, truck just looks dropped a bit.

Actually, judging from the sig pic, I think your E66 looks awesome. But IMHO the X5 is uglier than my mother-in-law. And without ever meeting the witch, it sounds like others here agree.

I think what threw some of us (at least me) was the tone of your original post. It really sounded like you were coming on here, claiming that YOUR X5 was the most beautiful SUV ever. Along the lines of "Hey, look at how cool I am for pimping out my ride like this!" That kind of thing goes over okay in the E9X forums, but we tend to be a little more conservative here. (With the exception of that fuqtard from Joisey who called you the Rock, but we tolerate him because he is lovable in his own dysfunctional way )

It's all good. Come back and visit any time. Bring some ribs with you next time.

I don't get the personal attacks angle when the thread is supposed to be about likes/dislikes of a modified X5. Like it or don't like it, whatever, it should be OK to have healthy disagreements.

I'm only weighing-in here to make a plea for sanity and civility and for us to not live up to the stereotypes other car forums like to levy onto BMW owners. Bimmerfest is a great place to learn about and solve problems in connection with our cars...one never knows if the person denigrated today will have the answer that matters tomorrow.

Its called personalizing and making the vehicle suit my needs. Ever since I was able to legally drive, I never found a car that I was 100% satisifed with in stock form. I dont think you would know anything about this because of your unfortunate liking for out of the box products.

the x isnt as bad as yall make it seem lol. i just checked it out and i personally would not have lowered it. im not really a fan of lowering suv's. if it was stock height i think it would look meaner.

I like the wheels on the X5. Personally, I would prefer them in a 20". I happen to like the look of a tire with a little sidewall. I would have either color matched the rotors to the rim or put a Brembo caliper on to get the pop of red that would match the red in the center cap. Visually, I think a larger rotor would look better. The caliper and rotor look a little lost in there. Living in NYC, I can tell you from experience that they would not last through pothole season (Late Feb-April)

As far as the responses from the forum, I think they are out of line. Whether this is TXStyle's vehicle, a project he worked on, or a friends, someone put time, effort and money to make the X look they way they want. I've seen custom cars where I HATED the way the looked; but, I really appreciated the quality of work that was done. ie. perfect paint in a color or combination I don't like, great attention to detail, etc.

It's ok not to like it. It's ok to say, not my cup of tea.

Like you everyone has differences in opinions and taste. Personally i would never own a X5 primarily because i hate the way it looks bone stock. upgrades like lowering springs or coilovers, larger wheels and maybe even a brake upgrade kit would be in order before i even get in the vehicle. i love how this X looks! good find TX

don't know why but most on here think either he owns the vehicle or took pictures of it when clearly all he did was find a goodlooking X5 and wanted to share it with this forum members.
