Windshield/screen chips & HUD

Anyone had any chips 'fixed' on a windscreen with HUD? I believe the HUD requires a special glass.

My chip is not within the HUD area (it's lower down in the middle of the screen), but I was curious to see if anyone had any issues with standard fixing methods for such things ...

Thanks for any input.

p.s. if anyone ever invents a stone deflector let me know ;-)
