X3 2005 Heater not working

With the weather getting cold, I noticed that the interior heat in my X3 is not working. I have a new waterpump and temperature sensor. The temerature needle stays in the middle when the truck us warmed up so i do not think the thermostate is bad. When I turn on the heat by adjusting the interior temperature, I get luke warm to cool air.

Any thoughts.

i thought i had the same problem in my '04. This is what i concluded: The temperature it says on the led screen means nothing. theres a little difference between 62 degrees and 84 degrees. The real difference is in the little dial above the emergency lights that has the blue and red dots. you need to put it all the way to the three red dots to make it warm. After you do that, theres the three buttons on the right of the screen that have the arrows indicting where the air flow is going. you need to select the middle one which will put air out of the vents that will go to you. whoever designed this HVAC system was a complete dumbass. If you dont select the middle arrow that directs the airflow out of the vents, then you will get no air. and for whatever reason, i think you only have to do all this with the heat only. the ac always blows out of the vents wether i have the arrow on or not
