Opening top in freezing weather

Are we allowed to open the top in freezing weather?

I think I've read somewhere that it may damage the cloth top if it's frozen when folding.

If the top is dry and without ice or snow there should be no problem. I used to open my Z3 during winter without problems, by taking these precautions. The weak point on that car was the plastic rear window, not the top itself.
By using common sense when operating the top you can enjoy the winter!
I am lucky to have a heated garage, so I don't even need common sence when taking the car out for a topless spin
