Anyone ever have a center cap come off?

Just returned from the Thanksgiving weekend, 700+ miles in all. Last leg was Boston to NNJ this AM. Get out of the car and realize the front left center cap is gone.

I'm thinking it was not on fully as I just put on my winter set last weekend and used the center caps from the summer rubber.

I was driving pretty fast today but doubt that made a difference.

$15 out the window...... oh well.

You can get that written off as a warranty issue (AKA free replacement) if you have a good relationship with the service department at your local dealership.

I think it was the shop that mounted and balanced my winter tires. They probably didn't snap it in all the way. Already got new one. $22 plus tax....... :-(

If it happens again I would think its a problem with the wheel.
