Navigation destination from home computer to vehicle?

Does anyone know how to do this? I was told that I could enter destinations from my home computer to my car. I'm guessing on bmwapps but I can't figure this one out.

Google Maps. Just type in an address in google maps, then click on the pin, more, send, car, and enter the email address associated with your BMW Assist account. It then shows up under Messages on the idrive.

FWIW, I've had some problems with this for over a year. First few times time I tried it, it worked brilliantly. Then, after that, nothing showed up. Thought it was my fault. Tried it again and again and again. Each time, the address never showed in my messages. I contacted BMW Assist and they told me that the system had some bugs. They tried resending and resetting and few other things. Eventually, they just gave me the directions I needed and told me to call again if the sending to the car from Google system didn't work again. So, I'd suggest having a back up before heading to the unknown.

How does one get an email account associated with BMW Assist? Is this the optional service that one pays for or the one that comes standard with the vehicle?

It's the basic service that comes with new vehicles. Mine also stopped working after a while and I can't be bothered to look into it. If you press the button that links up to BMW, someone will come online and can help you with it.

There's one cool feature I like from this feature. When you search Goggle for a point of interest, say a restaurant, if you do it right, it will also send the telephone number as well to the car. From the car, you can then highlight it and make the call to say something like ... i will be late .... Neat stuff.
