Valentine One with new iPhone 4s
I thought I'd post my experience to see if anyone else noticed the same thing I did this AM.
I had the original iPhone 3G with ATT, and used it in my car without any problems. I bought a Valentine One a month ago, hardwired it, and was working fine until this morning. What changed this AM? I bought an iPhone 4s and switched to Verizon. I synced it with my car this AM for the first time. I started my normal drive, and noticed a couple blips on the detector, 1 bogey, one signal strength, where I never had them before. Didn't think much of it until I made a phone call and noticed a continuous beep every 4-5 seconds, with the arrow indicating a front signal. I assumed it was coming from the phone, which was sitting in the small console below the radio, so I picked it up while I was still on the phone, held it behind the radar, and the signal strength went to 4-5, with the arrow pointing to the rear. The arrows followed the phone as I moved it around. I called Valentine One this AM, and the sales rep said he hasn't heard of this before, but transfers me to a tech, who said that Verizon uses the CDMA frequency which is a harmonic of an X band, and can falsely alert the detector. He recommended to switch to Advance Logic, as I was using the factory settings. Has anyone else noticed this? Should I be concerned about missing a radar on this new mode?

Yes, just noticed this behavior as well. Originally thought I had a bad power cord to the V1, but have clearly isolated it to interference with the 4S. In fact if the iPhone screen is in sleep mode and I turn it on, the V1 goes bonkers very briefly. And I can duplicate it every time. Suspect there is no real fix for this...

Follow Up
Quick Follow up- I switched over to Advanced Logic (L) mode, and haven't had any issues since.

It's the proximity sensor on the iPhone 4S (Siri activation search). The sensor is constantly checking to see if it's been held up against your face to start Siri
