dont want to break the clip

on an 04 645. Ive been trying to pull the clip off of the stereo amp, sliding it down the slotted groove. but just before it gets to the end it stops. just so I dont break it, when it gets to the bottom where and in what direction should I pop it off. Just dont want to break this clip. thanks
