Z4 factory alarm vs alternatives

Hi, I have paid for the services 251.00 CND, but with all the stupid answers they gave me I don't trust them anymore and I'm in the impression that they will try to get away with it and stealing me more money by blaming the fact that they didn't install the alarm.

They are willing to look at it but first they will have to check if the installation was done properly.

I don't know how someone can make an error in the installation, the car is prewired, you have 3 modules, 1 hood switch, 1 motion detector and a siren, and can you call this plug and almost play.

Other that the alarm doesn't work is there other side effect that I should look at if the mechanic had selected ACCEPT INSTEAD OF END in the last part of the coding.

You mention that your dealer had to go over it four times, are all the mechanics at BMW are that incompetent.

I got the software ( NCSExpert, INPA, DIS and SSS) and coded the alarm myself with NCSExpert + an OBDII cable .... after an incredible learning curve.



the FA number/VO is the code for all the options on your car that came from the factory. "$302" is the alarm code that needed to be added to the FA/VO in the AKMB and ALSZ ECUs.

after adding $302 and processing the car, the DWS options show up in the list of configurable options.

i beat the dealer! cost of my alarm... $100 ... bonus: i can now change whatever i want, whenever i want... no dealer scumbags needed. i can reset airbag lights and more... my car!
