Garage door
I have a 135i and a WAYNE DALTON garage door opener and they are not compatible. You'd think BMW would cover all bases..... You may have same problem.

I'm with Wayne Dalton as well and my x5 works just fine.

I have programmed my Z4M and 335Xi, and the programming works differently than other cars I'he had. It is ultimately about following the book, which says you have to first follow the non- rolling steps and then the rolling code steps. Where most people have rolling codes you'd think you could start there, but you have to go through both steps.
Of course my newest car is a 2008 and your models could be different ... hope this helps Sent from my Kindle Fire using Bimmer |

Mine too, although I can't program it to open both doors, every time I do the second opener it overwrites the first... Is the same on all my gm products as well.

reading the manual from my wife's 2011 M37, apparently BMW skipped a step in the programming instructions, all Homelinks operate the same, it is helpful with another person as you have to push the learn button on the garage opener and run back to the car and push the coressponding button 3 times within 30 seconds, if you do it yourself it is great exercise , climbing the step ladder to push the button and running back to the car, in fact I didn't have to go to the gym that day as I must have run back and forth at least twenty times! |

Programmed mine in a few minutes. First, learning the remote. Then, learning the rolling code. Works great!

What worked for me was actually touching the remote to the mirror during programming. Holding it an inch from the mirror just wasn't working. Other than that the instructions were fine - I just wiped the memory first then followed the rolling code programming steps.
