What is "highlight trim finishers pearl gloss chrome"
Hi all,
I noticed on bmwconfig on the '12 335i that there's a (free) option called "highlight trim finishers pearl gloss chrome". Does anyone know what that is? It sounds like a bad idea to get if I'm going metallic gray and black dakota leather. (no line or line designation) |

These are the accents in the car like the line running along the dash. Here are some pictures form the BMW online configuration tool showing the Pearl Interior Colors. Hope that helps.

I see. So if I don't get that, my trim would be black?

I was actually looking through the ordering guide a bit more and only see the pearl highlights as being an option on the Luxury and Modern lines. You may want to take a run through BMWUSA's online tool to see your options and then verify it with your dealer. Here is a link to the BMW configuration for the 335i with no line designation:

Tan steering wheel + tan background to gauges = someone needs to get fired.

![]() Forgot to mention: the "highlight trim finishers pearl gloss chrome" is the chrome trim below the air conditioning vents. Last edited by jgrasty; 01-18-2012 at 04:21 PM. |

I think the textured wood reminds me of an old 1980s console TV. Maybe it will look better in person. Personally I am not feeling the modern line at all. Just can't get over the oyster wheel and dash.

What would the dash look like (335, if it matters) if I just ordered the base line? Same color as the leather seats? Default trim is wood.

Isn't the "trim" the nasty pink stuff in the above photos and "highlight trim" is the metal strip?

How about the red in the Sport Line? IMO it looks like a kiddy car. Maybe BMW should go after the teen age purchasers and forget the rest of us.
cheers vern

I really like the matte finish on the wood trim but I think the textured part is overkill and makes it look like it's trying too hard.

In person, I actually really liked the wood trim texture. Wasn't sure I would like it but I do.
