I agree. If Audi bothered to make RWD cars, I think they would surpass BMW. I would start to seriously consider Audi if they were RWD. Unfortunately they chose to leave the competition to Mercedes, Jag and Lexus.

You guys are harsh. There's got to be another reason: the cost of crash testing a DSB M Sport, certifying it with CARB, etc. I mean, BMW would never rip us off without a good reason. Would they?

+1. To me it looks like a Space Gray that's been driven on salt covered roads all winter without being washed and detailed. Big Yawn. And Frozen Black looks like primer.

Whereas that DSB F11 M Sport is pure Viagra.

The dealer had a frozen gray car in a month ago. It got your attention, but I think most people would be tired of this in a couple of months. Same for the other matte colors. They are just too trendy.

It's a stock F10 color too. But if you want it on an M-Sport F10 then it becomes an Individual color. They quoted me $5500 extra for a Deep Sea Blue 550i M-Sport. Naturally I went with imperial blue instead.

If the dealer quoted me $5500 for a paint job I would have told them to take a hike. It's a BMW---not a Ferrari.

You're probably right. Still looks awesome though.

I once spent something like $2000 on an individual interior on my E39, as an extra over an allready high executive car.
Maybe too much, but the car was special and very good looking.
I still hate myself for trading in that very nice car!
The individual styling is there for the individual, it is up to him whether the steep pricing is wordth it....
Quite a nice marketing tool this individual thing by BMW.

I really like the champagne quartz and barbera red. But, but, but, not enough to pay an extra $5K for it.

I love the Frozen Grey....outstanding color

To me all frozen colors looks like primer. I really dislike shiny trim like chrome on the exterior and interior but I want the paint job to shine. It's an attribute of a well looked after car. Of the frozen colors I prefer the colors that mimic metal, like frozen grey or silver.

They're all (except one) M Sport packages... Is that what dealerships are predominately ordering in Europe? Or is that because they're just optioned up?

Visiting BMW Dingolfing Production Plant they told us that most F11 are requested with M package.

At Dinglofin we were told that all frozen colours are just standard colours without the last ply of glossy lacquer. During the visit of the pain shop you can see that all the cars are with frozen colour after 4 plies of colour. The fifth ply is the hi gloss one. On the end BMW paint less and ask much more money to do that.
Frozen Silver = Titan Silver without gloss ply
Frozen Grey = Space grey without gloss ply
Frozen Blue = Deep Sea Blue without gloss ply
etc.

Very trendy but can't say I'm a fan. How do you maintian the look, with a steel wool pad? Does rain make it look glossy?

Agree. Looks interesting at the moment but have to wonder if it will eventually have the appeal of velour shirts and Member's Only jackets.
