alarm problems.

hey guys. got a problem with my m3. its a 96, manufacture date is 06/96. it had an obd1 alarm, a269zua070. no fob with it, so i decided to upgrade to an obd2 alarm. chenged harness and brainbox, and now my hazard lights wont stop. whether the cars on or off hazards still flash. alarm works perfectly, except for thet. took out the hazard flasher relay and now i dont have turn signals but ive got an alarm any info would be appreciated. thanks.

figured it out. turns out the newer obd2 alarm systems have a few extra wires that arent needed on a car with obd1, so i cut the green wire and they stopped blinking. so if any of you have the same problem, now u know how to fix it.
