Not so Mellow Yellow

Got the new wheels on and tools some picks next a citrus grove near Fillmore to go with the Atacama Yellow and Citrus Interior.

Looks wise
- Wet Black Power Coated Wheels
- Satin Black Roll Bars
- Satin Black Kidney Grill
- Removed Silver Accents by front wheel "vents"
- Satin Black Exhaust Tips
- Stubby Antenna

Performance wise:
- ESS Tune
- Quaife Diff (on order)

Looks good! Have you considered getting the rear plate mount color matched. Keep us posted on the Quaife mod. Who's doing the install and total cost?

Consider powder coating the brake calipers.

Hey, did you paint the sideview mirrors too? This is a 35is isn't it?

Pretty sure the 35is in yellow skips the silver mirrors for body color match yellow

Big improvement over stock.

It's a 35is. The Yellow didn't come with the grey mirrors (it would have looked horrible).

I just bought a spare set from the dealer and had them painted. They were easy to swap.

Cant believe I didnt see this thread earlier. I must say your car looks great. Love the wheels with that yellow.

I was trying to avoid having to paint anything

Spent some time looking for aftermarket stuff last night and the only thing I came up with was a carbon fiber set on Newegg of all places.

I did get it installed and like it a lot. Without being able to fully disabling traction control you can't quite slide it appropriately, but it does liven it up a lot more. It starts to feel more like a proper sports car.

What I really like is when there's loose traction (dirty road, wet road, etc.) I don't get the wheel spin with the stock diff in which the overly aggressive computer detuning the car for a few seconds.

It does boggle my mind that a modern sports car would ship with an open diff... I mean if a much, much, much cheaper S2000 had it...

Did you go through HP Autowerks in SB or other. Installation cost? Looking & planning ahead as I'm in San Diego area and hope to do this next year.

I did go through HP Autowerks and no complaints. Easy to work with and get done. I just spent the day hanging around SB and the library.

Just an FYI not overly concerned but had a diff mount break with the new diff. But it was just a $50 fix. Not sure if installation or stress related. We'll find out if I happens again.
