Whoa! It may not be enough to make some switch over, but there's NO question the N55 sounds sweeter than the N20. Thanks for that post.

No doubt, N55 sound better for sure. But the N20 does not sound bad, it sounds ok, certainly tolerable, its just the n55 sounds really good.

I thought the N20 sounded awful, both in the drive by and the exhaust. But it's hard to tell from audio recordings, the N55 sounds weird in the exhaust clip too.

It's hard to make a four cylinder turbo sound good, can't think of one that sounds good.

The N55 definitely sounds way better and the N20 did sound horrendous but let me just say that an aftermarket exhaust will fix the problem more or less.

It may help the exhaust sound but won't help the engine sound better. I miss the days when turbos were the realm of Japanese rally cars.
