Current MF

Hey All,

Anyone know what is the fair MF before the MSD for the F30? Looking to finalize the deal soon and just want to make sure I'm getting the right MF.

Thanks,

SunXnuS

So I understand this to be the "base rate." Is it the common case that one ends up paying something over this? A local dealer quoted .00235 to me. I'd brought up the .00195 figure and he'd responded by saying that it was "customary" to apply a "minimal" markup.

Tell your dealer that you are no dummy for his customary MF markups. You walk your talk and he will back peddle to your terms real quick. The dealer is making plenty of profit (1000) in most cases plus hold back to just shuffle papers for you.

I'm still learning here, I believe .00195 is what BMW call the tier 1 rate. Typically is for people who has very good credit score 750+. The number goes up if your credit score is lower. You can also add security deposit (MSD), up to 7, and the MF can go even lower.

UNles you have bad credit, tell him to shove his markup up his ass then call another dealer.

I've tier 1 credit. Sadly, I'd done a favorable deal w/ this guy a while back on my wife's X5. I'm not sure why he's playing dumb w/ me now.

Just remember that your interest rate equivalent is 4.7% (.00195 MF * 2400), just to put it in context.

.00235 is a 5.6% equivalent. He was making an additional 1% on the financing, likely going to the dealership.

For some weird reason people don't think of a MF as an interest rate, so get lost in the number instead of what it means.

Tell him to get stuffed. Typical move-the-pieces-around to get more bucks in the door.

Good luck.

Who is your dealer ? Can you share please. I just ordered ED, got the manufacturing number, but my dealer does not want to go below .00235, with 760 + credit.

I need some references to get back at him. Any name or dealer name would be great.

Thanks

You're in NY? Why not contact one or a few of the site sponsors?

You may want to refer to one of our site sponsors that are geographically close to you. These people will bust their butts to help you if your local dealer is playing MF games.
