launch control
2011 Z4 35i w/ DCT. Has anyone tried "launch control"? If so, pls describe.

From what I'm reading you put the Dynamic Drive Control in sport plus, move the gearshift into manual mode, and floor the brake and gas pedals at the same time. A checkered-flag logo pops up in the small display in the instrument cluster, and the engine revs to 4000 rpm. Let go of the brakes and hold on tight. The LC feature gives a very impressive take off in the Z4.

Using launch control leaves you with a lot of wheelspin. Sport+ with sport mode on the transmission, brake + accelerator results in a faster launch. Almost a second faster.
