Odometer Replacement Z3
Looking for some advice...the previous owner of my 2001 Z3 had a faulty odometer cluster and replaced it at a BMW dealership. Mileage started over at "zero." I have paperwork to prove actual mileage but DMV still gave me a "branded title". Car is worth 50 cents on the dollar now because of this. Is there a way to sync the cars mileage onto the odometer form the DME? I cannot get the same answer about this from repair shops.
Thanks for any help you can give! Last edited by Girevik; 02-19-2012 at 06:37 AM. Reason: Z3 not in title |

Nope.
But I have seen where the odo has been replaced, and there is a sticker in the drivers side coor frame telling of the change and the mileage at the time of the swap. Not special title (probably state dependent). In fact our M3 LTW has the sticker.

When they replace cluster they did not switch coding plug, that had the mileage in it.
