Anyone know what color black should be used for the standard black interior in a 745?

I just purchased 2 cans of the Camel color through SEM with no success. The color is too dark. I tried a sample on the back of the foot plate. Paint dries super quick. Does anyone have any other ideas or colors? I have the Beige/Dark Beige III color interior. Can take pictures but I know there is only 2 interiors in the beige. A lighter beige and a darker beige. I may have to send

I may have to have an auto body shop match the color and pay a little extra.

SEM has several different shades of each color .
Try taking 1 of your parts with you into a paint supply store .
This way you can compare the different shades .

"Camel" matched perfectly for my "natural brown" interior but your is "beige". Your SEM shop (or online) should have a color chart to find your match.

There were plenty of colors available -- I'm sure you'll be able to find one that matches.

What color SEM stuff do I use for grey interior (e65)

I have no idea. I am going to go to the body shop and have them do this for me. To save $100-$150 for all the peices may not be worth it at this point. I will waste more time looking for a close match. Already wasted $30 in spray cans. You live and learn. Maybe some of the other board members have an idea.

An above poster mentioned "presidio" for the grey interior. I bought a can on eBay for $10 plus a few to ship. So far I ripped out one piece and sprayed a test area on the underside, seems to be spot on but not 100% positive til I do the front and put it back in the car. At minimum, it's extremely close and will still look better than the peeled look it has now. Let me know if you find anything different.

He mentioned he had lighter biege interior.

Did you try this color? Curious because i have light biege as well...

I have a Beige 111/ Dark beige interior...does anyone know what SEM color coat matches my interior. does anyone know the SEM color that matches? ive tried SEM santa fe, but it came out too light...thanks

My trim peice is at an autobody shop today. They are working on getting the match for the trim. BMW does not want to give out information even to the body shops. There is a formula out there an I will be getting the formula within the next few. I will keep everybody posted on how much it costs to paint the 4 trim peices. I am assuming no more than $100 dollars. Worth it at this point.

There is another option. A place in Virginia matched leather dye for me (perfect on the money). But I sent a small sample from underneath the rear seat (1 "). The place is Leather Magic in Monroe, NC. 1 800 232 4092. They should know someone and can probably match the paint. It comes with a sprayer that hooks to a bottle. But I only needed to touch the stiching up which matched perfectly and has not come off. This is a dye.

What product from SEM did you guys use?

I used Color Coat, came out really well.

Has anybody matched the beige/dark beige. BMW will not give out the paint code. I had a body shop try. All 4 trim peices brand new are about $150. It just may be worth buying new parts for the vehicle. Amazing that a $80,000 car has to have such cheap plastic inside. And to make matters worse, BMW has not learned their lesson. I had a 2012 BMW X5 Twin Turbo (loaner vehicle) with beige intereior that had similar cheap plastic parts with paint. They are just unbeleivable, to save a few dollars.

Good stuff. I need to do mine which is black by the way. I'm going to have to wait until I finish my honey do list first. Boy that I have a long way to go!

Black may be an easier color to match then the beige colors or dark grey colors. There are so many shades of black out there.

Do you use any INDY's in NJ? If so who have you had luck with? If I decide not to sell the vehicle, I am looking for a good INDY to work on my car (future).

If I sell my car, I have 4 plastic trim peices that are beige/dark beige that I am willing to give away for free. They are in descent shape with minor scuffs. I will take pictures and post. The only thing I ask is that someone pay for the shipping. Willing to give away to anyone here in the US. Shipping should be no more than $10. The trim pieces are $150 brand new. I am going to order the new ones in the next week or so. They do not have them in stock.
