Mein Auto: 05 X5 / 11 M3 Vert
BMW replacing my M3

So after two rear end replacements and noise (tin cans tumbling in a dryer sound) still coming from the rearend, BMW is going to swap my 2011 vert for a 2012. Since I'm going to get to build it again, I'd love to hear what everyone thinks about each feature and color.

My 11 is a manual white with beige leather. Tech, sound, nav, 19's.

I have an '11 E90 with DCT, Premium, Convenience, Competition, Cold Weather. No sunroof. Would do it IDENTICALLY if I did it again.

I absolutely ADORE this car.

I just picked up my M3 coupe last week. Le Mans Blue/Bambo Beige (non extended)/Carbon Fiber with Competition/Premium/Cold/Moonroof/Sound.

I chose the Le Mans because I like blue cars. I was originally going to do a custom Mystic Blue (loved it on my old e46 coupe), but figured the Le Mans was close enough. Since getting home, I've gotten many complements on the color. I'm in an area where almost all cars are white, black or gray.

I chose Bambo because of the heat in the south. I also did not like the way the black buttons clashed on the extended leather. The carbon fiber is a subtle look and keeps a performance feel. I was torn between CF and the wood; however, I could not be happier with the decision.

I ended up getting the BMW APPS for free. I did connect my iPod to it to see what it did. I thought cool, but will never use it. I also left of SAT because I listen to the radio or my iPod. Maybe it is me, but the Sirius seemed to have less variety.

If I did again, I may skip the Cold and just get Heated Seats.

Nothing wrong with being expressive, but I find the joy of an M3 is in the driving -
individual color composition is nice but so unnecessary - different strokes..., I reckon....

That's how I feel also. I got everything I wanted and nothing else. Could be said I was pinching pennies also - this isn't a trivially inexpensive car for me. But I'm very happy with it.

I do not think that we are talking about the same thing. And this is in response to the OP question.
