Should have got the X5d and you wouldn't have to sell the JBD
![]() Out of curiousity do you know if they are interchangable? I may be interested if so. Jay

PS.. get the cable too, because you are going to need it before bringing it in for service. |

Hear that! Once I headed out to Tahoe from Bay Area and it had snowed. They were requiring chains or AWD with M+S tires. I had a 1984 Jeep Cheorkee with 4 X 4 and Michelin M+S, so kept on up the mountain. Got there early, it was almost empty, we got the first downhill ride in about 1-2 foot of new poweder. Amazing.

Aren't the cables only good with the first car they are used with? Meaning if you used it just once that it no longer will work in another car?

It snowed unexpectedly on my first road trip to Tahoe, about 12 years ago. I had to buy chains but then never used them again. I went there many times subsequently but didn't need the chains.
Now that I have the 335d I've been waiting forever to take a trip there (or anywhere, really) but my work schedule just doesn't allow it.

How do you know which version you have?

The 20 pin connector/dongle says "Basic Version". You can also check the version and number of VINs used in the BT software under the Tools -> Tools information menu.
