How many miles is too much?
My M3 has 220,000 miles on it.. Is that far too much? If not what is too many miles?

Does it work?
If so, it is fine. We put 340,000 on a Jeep Cherokee. And only parked it because of new vehicles.

Too much to sell maybe?
Keep it maintained and it will run for another 200k!

There is no magic number. Mobil years ago ran an E30 1 million miles.
The magic is the maintanence that has been performed on the car, the steady use of the car and hopefully not in a rust belt which is a limiting factor. My 281K miles M3 is little different from my 86K M3/4 which is stiffer but that is inherient to a sedan over a convertible. Runs the same and drives the same with the exception that the sedan is slightly faster and handles slightly better all because of the heavier vert weight. If the car is well maintained and used frequently it should serve you well as a ride... |
