2004 745 shuts off while driving

I was driving and stoped the car for while then I was trying to get start it wont started please tell me why

Hi everybody Im having truble with my 745i last couple days car keep shutting off while driving it's says on dash dynamic driving inactive and some time it's says trans fail I don't know whats happening I go to go away for thanksgiving please help me

Welcome to Bimmerfest.com! I've moved your posts into the 7er forum for your year. I would assume your check engine light is on, have you had the codes pulled? That is a good place to start.

Usually this is a sign of a failing alternator or battery. You can have them checked to make sure there are no issues. If the battery and alternator are fine then I would change the integrated power module. The modules should be under 100 and you can change it yourself.

Once you have the alternator and battery check if you need to do the integrated power module come back on here and you can get instructions on how to change it.

What code and yes some time I get the engine light comes on and I get dynamic driving inactive and trans fail then engine get shut off while driving some time turn off and try to start again it works some time I have to wait it's 745i 2004
