mk4 - e34

so ive been thinking about moving from vw to bmw, i currently own a mk4 and have been thinking about selling it, and buying a car i wouldnt have to make a car payment on.
found a local e34 for sale and wondering if it would be a good idea, currently it has 281XXX miles
seller is asking $2700

maintenence that has been done in last 15k miles is as follows:
-New clutch pressure plate, disc & release bearing
New rear main seal replaced during clutch replacement
New transmission output seal replaced during clutch replacement
New clutch release bearing arm, and pivot
3 ignition coils
New idler pulleys and belts
New alternator voltage regulator
New lower control arms
edit* newer behr radiator
i read over the sticky and recently emailed the seller asking about whens the last time the water pump was replaced, and whens the last time parts of the cooling system was serviced.

from your guy's personal experience/perspective from buying other e34's is there anything else i should worry or consider? or something you wish you had known before hand?
