Check Engine

Good Afternoon, Today i joined Bimmerfest and need some guidance. I have a 98 740i, my Check Engine light was on months ago. I took it to an auto repair. They replaced my transmission control because their scanner could not read the problem. Then i replaced the Air Mass Meter, 2 Valve Cover Gaskets, Camshaft position Sensor, and the Thermostat Assembly.

Took car home, it then pasted smog and drove it about 150 miles thereafter and now my check engine light is back on and while driving it, it feels like something pulling and makes a noise.

You need to pull the CEL (Check Engine Light) codes... By using an OBD2 scan tool. Once you know the codes tripping the CEL you'll have a much better idea of where your problem lies.
