Need help communicating to dealer

I am trying to order a 2012 X5 Sport Activity with a heated steering wheel. I cannot get this configuration on bmwusa.com configurator and need to tell the dealer exactly how to order the vehicle with the heated steering wheel. Please advise.

It's included in the Cold Weather Package. Don't see it as a standalone option, like on other BMWs

When you go to bmwusa.com and configure a sport activity x5, the cold weather package doesn't include the heated steering wheel (if you start with the x5 Premium and look at the cold weather package, it includes it). I think the reason is for the M steering wheel that comes with the sport activity package and it doesn't have heat. I just want to order without the m steering wheel, which has paddles.

Wow, this is very confusing. I went on bmwusa.com and you're right, so I went around ebay looking at new MY12s.

This 35i Sport doesn't have ZCW and doesn't have the heated wheel

EDIT: i went thru more MY11s, and this 35i Sport has all the toys, plus ZCW and forgoes the M wheel for the regular wheel and has heated steering wheel.

You are right, M Sport with Cold Weather Package DOES NOT include heated steering wheel.

So... After looking at the pricing guide for MY 2013 (sticky above), it appears the heat is coming back to the sport wheel... Did they run out of 'em for 2012 or what???

I'm going to caution everyone not to reply on the BMWUSA configurator. Yes, fine tool- but in the end ALWAYS GET THE DEALER TO PRINT OUT THE DEALERSPEED.NET CONFIGURATION. Use that for your final sign off. And if anything doesn't make sense, demand clarification (in writing if necessary) from the CA.
