my bmw x5 radio nedds resetting

the battery ran down while i was playing the stereo in the car, now that i had it up started the radio wont wrk. it is said that i need to reset it but i dnt know how to can anyone help me. it is a 2006 bmw x5 stereo is business cd the original version.
pleas help!!!!
