Recommendation for a roof rack

I have a 2011 535xi and look for a recommendation on a roof rack. I want to use it for a box to hold skis and potentially also have the option to put our bicycles on it. For a day trip I do have the fold down seats and also the ski bag but for a 1 week vacation the skis take up too much space.
I found a Thule recommendation here:

I found some pics and info on a different forum and it seems like they recommend also the Thule.

Anybody has a recommendation what to buy or already uses one and is happy with it ?

Thanks

Why wouldn't you use the BMW ones shown in this thread? There are 4 dedicated mounts on the roof for the factory cross bars and they fit like a glove. I had something similar on my Volvo and they were awesome.

I like the aftermarket racks –*it's usually a minor change to move from one car to another. I've had some of the Yakima rack components since 1988 –*through 7 different cars.

That said, I was hoping to get Whispbars (Yakima) for my 535 –*but unfortunately Yakima doesn't have a fit kit for the 535 yet. These bars are QUIET. Waiting for now….

It seems like the guy displaying the pictures complains about a large gap. So not sure if other after markets are better. Also I kind of like the idea of Thule or somebody else so I can reuse on different cars later on.
