To Tint or Not To Tint 2012 M3

just took delivery of 2012 M3, (thanks so much Yiwen @ShellyBMW)...

now the question is, to tint or not to tint. Thus far, I've tinted all our cars...this one, M3, is in a class all in it's own....

I'd say "tint" but not too dark.

I don't think so - the windows are the same as the regular 3 series. They aren't thinner, made of plastic etc.

How do you drive it? On the track? Commute? Mostly at night? Parked in the sun? That should dictate the answer.

So Cal or ANY sunny state/local = TINT my friend.

personally, i think any car looks better with tints. so TINT

I plan to tint mine 30% - I'd go 20%, but it isn't legal, and I can't really tell enough difference to warrant any possible legal issues. I've had friends harassed for 20%

I have 20% all around.

I just got a 08 m3 convertible too... I plan on tinting 20%

I just got my 2012 M3 convertible last week and had the windows tinted Monday. I think the tint really makes it look much better. I attached a before and after pic...the after isn't the best but you can see the difference

Beautiful car! I prefer the tinting; besides keeping your car cooler, it looks a little mysterious. I'm probably a bit biased as I have every car I own tinted. You really have to in south Florida.

Tints always gives the car that extra touch.. especially if its all black ... gives it a meaner look .. Im actually getting mine tinted right now ..

I agree with you... Nice ride .. What percent shade is that?

Im jealous .. I wanted the red interior but i settled for the white hard top convertible w/ all black interior because it was stick..

Tint !!!!!!!!!!!!!! I agree with everyone tint makes the car look so much better. Any tint is illegal on the front two windows regardless of the percentage. I have a jet black m3 and tinted all the windows with 5%. Its very dark but has its advantages one being that if you ever leave anything in your car no one can see in at all. The sun does not come in therefore your seats do not heat up in the summer. When your at red lights you dont have to worry about people starring at you. So I would say go with the 5% !!!!!!!!!!!
