Fuel additive and SES light
I have been using Power Service Diesel Clean with Cetane boost for the last 15-20 fill ups and have noticed my SES light illuminates once in awhile now. If I fill up without any additive on the next fill, the light ends up going out after 100 or so miles. It may be purely coincidence but I am wondering if anyone else is using an additive and has noticed a correlation. I drive almost 1000 miles a week so I usually fill up 2 to 3 times a week which gives me a chance to alternate between Power Service or not. Have not hooked up my diagnostic tool to see which code it is... maybe this weekend to see if it is emissions based. The SES light never seems to affect the way the car runs so it has been low on the priority list.

I have not encountered any problems using PS w/cetane boost. It is suppose to be DEF safe. Check the code.

I suspect there is a reason SES stands for Service Engine Soon. I'd check the codes. |

I highly doubt it is from the PS additive. I will be curious though to hear what the light ends up being for.
