Oil usage

I'm looking at a '99 that the owner says uses @ a quart/1500. Toomuch? By a little or a lot? How much should I plan on for a valve guide job?

Seems like a little too much, how many mile in the clock?

11600. I thought so,too. That's why I inquired as to the cost of head job. Rest of car is pretty good. driver's seat needs leather. Body looks great. $7500. ??

Actually that is spec for a BMW. Check the manual you will see that is considered under normal use. My M3's don't use any oil but many do. Could be a lot of things causing this use especially the cyclone separator.....
