trunk, side lights and stereo
Hello everybody,
SO there are 3 things i need your guys' feedback on... 1. My "check side lights" has been on for a month and I noticed on the drivers side the angel eyes and parking lights are very dim. what do I do? 2. The ex owner put some cheap ass stereo that doesnt put out and it sounds very bad. i searched for the OE stereo but its around $500 for a used stereo. for that price I might as well put something decent nice. Dynavin is way too expensive so i need alternates or i want to know what you guys have done to yours. 3. The trunk does not open now with my alarm key button only by inserting it. the button by the drivers left foot sometimes work. But when i do open the trunk (any method) it doesnt want to close, I guess the sensor is off and you can only hear the lock engaging and disengaging as i move the trunk up and down. Right before I close it it disengages and so I finally found a way to close it (after a month long of messing with the trunk). All i ahve to do is get it like a centimeter away from closing it to pretend i am going to close it, and once i hear it engage i shove it shut, but its tricky cuz sometimes it wont do it, i have to use a lot of power at the end cuz i cant swing the trunk shut.... sorry for the bad description. So if somebody can give me some pointers i would HIGHLY appreciate it as i do not know what the hell to do. |

1. Check the wiring on the side lights for frays.
2. I would expect, by the time you install a new head unit and amp, you'll be into it for about that much. I assume you do not have the DSP system. BTW, the trunk amp is a multi-channel unit which drives each speaker separately. 3. The trunk actuator may be bad. Does it make a funny whirring noise when you press the trunk remote, or squeeze the finger switch? You need to remove the finisher at the inside bottom of the trunk to get at it. There's a screw in the bottom of the finger pocket.

Is there anything out their that is close to the OE stereo that will be able to interact with the dash? If their isn't what do you suggest as a good replacement so that I am able to use with the ///M steering wheel?
...Thanks ED for the responses |

I know of no setup that will communicate with the car. Perhaps someone else does.
Have you contacted Crutchfield?
