My x3 mods

I just ordered LED angel eyes, Audi Style side view LED strips, smoked side markers, and alpine SPS 410s speakers. as well as making the clear corner style headlights.

Also deciding on what rims to get....dont want anything too "flashy"...

I will post as many pics as i can, fir all the installs as well as try to make a DIY for the angel eyes for baking and attaching eyes etc.

i just ordered all the items and are all being shipped and should arrive to my house around the 12th..

i was kidding too, dont worry, and i have to find out where to get those rims, they are very nice i agree

does anyone think that i should be okay with going with CCFL angel eyes instead of LED....i have been PMing jay and he just pointed out to me that the eyes i ordered werent LED...stupid move on my part when i have been looking so intently to find LED eyes....very disappointed with myself lol

Sorry to hear. BTW here is one of my recent "Mods" courtesy of my thoughtful wife.

Also, included was one for steering wheel, wheels, and trunk.

I like that roundel. GZep i personally think the LED is too blue and youre better off going w/CCFL. Wont look as aftermoarket as the LED.

Thanks, It is carbon fiber weave but cant really tell in pic. I don't know enough about lighting to really comment. I do know that the ultra blinding blue lights drive me nuts and shoudln't be allowed on vehicles as they are dangerously blinding to other drivers.

well i dont think that the LEDs would be strong enough to blind anyone especially in angel eyes....but i st4rongly agree with you

and does anyone know what color i should paint the amber reflectors to get them to look like the clear corners?

everything came in the mail today...should be doing install this weekend, possibly this friday

depends on your interior, if your interior and trim match it.....i personally like the beryllium or the powder coated black one...if my car was MT since i have black on blackish...i would love to have the powder coated black IMO of course so my vote is to the black one good luck

im gunna see if they have any nice ones for the AT x3

Someone here tried it and said it had a minimal impact. Nothing noteworthy. I was thinking of asking my local Dinan speed shop if they could install a CAI without throwing any fault lights now that my X3 is out of warranty and I have nothing to fear from the warranty Nazi's.

I am doing it to get a "Shorter" shift feel to it as mine is stick. Still havent decided on what finish I will get.

May get the black to match my pedals.

I'd rather buy it from Bavarian Autosport. Although the conversion price from Canadian to US dollars only makes it $2.50 more from TDotPerformance, your credit card company is likely to sock you with a conversion fee.

sorry i dont know of anyone that had this mod done....cool mod that i considered though
