SPORT mode setting

All I want is to have the car in SPORT mode (the damper setting) instead of regular COMFORT when I turn the beast on. It defaults to regular COMFORT---can I make it default to the first SPORT setting?

2010? do we have damper control in 5 series in 2010?

if it is a typo then No we cannot default it to sport mode.. At least for now.

Sport mode will default the tranmission to sport setting. This lowers the gas mileage. EPA gas mileage statistics require that they be determined in the default mode. At least that's my conjecture about this. I have dynamic damper control so I have comfort, normal, and sport (and sport+). My car will default to either comfort or normal, but not to sport. The tranmission settings in comfort and normal are the same. I usually leave the suspension settings the same and frequently change the tranmission settings back and forth between normal and sport by moving the shift lever either left or right.

Have you tried setting the "sport mode" to "Chassis only" and not drivetrain? Maybe the car would default to that since it doesn't change the tranmission settings or the gas mileage.
